Classes of Audio Amplifiers
The amplifiers are generally divided into class that takes into account the operating characteristics of the output stage of amplifiers, which includes both power efficiency and quality.
Here we have the following classes of audio amplifiers:
Class A:
The amplifier has better sound quality without distortion but with a very large power consumption, has an efficiency of + / – 20% (theoretical maximum 25%), that is, if he provide 10W of sound, would consume 50W of power, this difference of 40W would be transformed into heat. Class B:

Class AB:

Class T:
Its operation is similar to a class D but this one has far less distortion and can work across the audible range (20Hz to 20KHz). The audio signal enters the amplifier is digitally transformed through algorithms into a digital signal with variable frequency up to 1.5MHz is then amplified. Its yield is around 90% and has less distortion than a Class D
